DeKalb Regional Medical Center
Welcome to DeKalb Regional Medical Center, a 134-bed not-for-profit, community hospital located in beautiful Fort Payne, Alabama. We are the major provider of healthcare services for residents of DeKalb County and adjacent communities in western Georgia. Established in 1986 by the DeKalb County Hospital Association, DeKalb Regional joined the Huntsville Hospital Health System in April 2024. HH Health System is a network of community hospitals that serve as the healthcare safety net for the Tennessee Valley region.

DeKalb Regional Medical Center is committed to providing quality care close to home. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American College of Cardiology as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. In 2025, DeKalb Regional was recognized by the American Heart & Stroke Association with the Get With The Guidelines Rural Stroke Gold and Get With The Guidelines Stroke Silver Quality Awards. Additionally, the hospital has received its fourth consecutive “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group, making it one of six Alabama hospitals to receive an “A”.
