DeKalb Regional’s Women & Children’s department participates in the Alabama Perinatal Quality Collaborative (APQC). The APQC exists to promote optimal health for Alabama mothers and babies by connecting key health and community stakeholders, sharing opportunities for education and training, and advancing the quality and safety of care through collaborative cooperation, evidence-based practices, and equitable approaches to care.

We offer:

  • Gynecologist/obstetricians (OB/GYNs) and highly trained maternity specialists who are committed to ensuring you and your baby have the best experience possible
  • Comfortable, private maternity suites

  • Skin-to-skin contact with baby immediately following delivery
  • Respect for individual birth plans, within reason for safe and positive outcomes
